    THE main container terminal at St Petersburg's port, CJSC, handled 722,000 TEU in 2018, a year on year increase of 12 per cent. Within this total, export volumes rose five per cent to 373,600 TEU, while imports were up 21 per cent to 348,500 TEU. Last year, the facility attracted a total of 540 ship calls, carrying an average load of 1,337 TEU, up 27 per cent. Container shipments by rail accounted for 26 per cent of the terminal's total cargo throughput, Hellenic Shipping News reported.

    According to Mortsentr-TEK JSC, CTSP retains its leadership position among Russia's container terminals with market shares of 33 per cent in St Petersburg and Ust-Luga, as well as a 29 per cent share of Baltic Basin volumes and 14 per cent of Russia's box traffic overall.

    Container Terminal St Petersburg (CJSC), a part of international transportation group UCL Holding, is a modern facility specialising in handling of all types of containerised cargo, including refrigerated containers, oversize and hazardous cargo.
