CMA CGM to upgrade PEX 3 service linking US, Africa and Far East
FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has introduced its new PEX 3 service linking US Gulf Coast and US east coast south Atlantic to Asia, Africa and Mediterranean.
Effective March 9, in Houston with 5,089-TEU CMA CGM Chateau d'If voy 062PGW, the new rotation will be Houston, Mobile, Miami, Jacksonville, Charleston, Tangier, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Chiwan, Shanghai, Ningbo and Busan and back to Houston.
PEX 3 will then offer improved connections from the US Gulf Coast to West Africa and North Africa via Tangier hub.
There will also be direct access to Singapore as new port of call and improved transit times and connections to southeast Asia from all PEX 3 ports of load.
Faster transit times from Charleston, a new port of call, to West Africa, Singapore and Asia are also part of the upgrade.
