Cargotec's Hiab to host World Crane Championship finals at the IAA
SIXTEEN crane operators from around the world are to compete for a grand prize of EUR25,000 (US$28 million) in the World Crane Championship (WCC) finals at the IAA exhibition in Hanover on September 24-25.
The event is hosted by Hiab, part of Cargotec, and has summoned competitors from all over the world.
"Preparations for the IAA are at full speed, and I am sure that the whole exhibition, including the World Crane Championships, will be unforgettable," said Hiab vice president Sebastian Poccard."The Hiab team and I warmly invite you to visit the stand to learn about our innovations, and afterwards enjoy the WCC finals." he said.
The 16 finalists are from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Poland, the United Kingdom and Slovenia. New Zealand is also taking part for the first time.
At the IAA, the finalists will get to operate the new cutting edge HIAB X-HiPro 232 crane, which will be launched at the exhibition, and offers the highest efficiency in the 20-tonne-metre range.
