The 'Stellar Samba' was under tow to the Sao Luís Anchorage Area No 2, where it will wait for spare parts to arrive and proceed with repairs. The ship had a fire in the engine room on May 26 enroute to the Ponta da Madeira Terminal, where she was booked to load a cargo of iron ore. The incident occurred at around 150 nautical miles off the Sao Luis anchorage area, where the vessel went adrift. The crew was able to extinguish the generator fire.
