Buenos Aires' major port of Necochea braces for customs officers pay strike
CUSTOMS officers at the Port of Necochea, 528 kilometres (328 miles) from Buenos Aires, said they will hold a pay-related strikes on July 10, July 16 and July 17.
The port at the eastern bank of the Quequen Grande River, is one of the most important in Argentina as the gateway for the agricultural produce of the southeast of Buenos Aires province.
Customs officers at the Port of Necochea in Argentina have planned strikes for July 10, July 16 and July 17 for more pay, reports American Shipper.
The employees will attend work, but will not perform their duties, reported Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS).
ISS Argentina said it is coordinating berthing with its clients to help minimise impact from the strike.
