NEW YORK's Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings (WW) reversed itself from last year's US$24.2 million quarterly loss by posting a $71.1 million third-quarter net profit, drawn on revenues of $656.6 million, an increase of 22.6 per cent year on year.
As for the Sino-American trade, Atlas CEO Bill Flynn said: 'Neither me nor our customers have seen any material impact on air freight demand.'
But Mr Flynn said tariffs issue may prompt China-based manufacturers to shift factories to neighbouring countries, and said he expects air freight demand growth to remain growing at four per cent as predicted by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), reported New York's Air Cargo World.
