YILPORT Holding's Major Investment: Order of 53 E-Hybrid Port Cranes from Konecranes

YILPORT Holding has placed an order for a total of 53 E-Hybrid RTG (Rubber-Tyred Gantry) cranes from the Finland-based port equipment manufacturer Konecranes. This investment aims to increase capacity in its global terminal network and promote low-emission port operations. This order stands out as a significant step in the company's growth strategy, which is focused on sustainability, automation, and digitalization.

As part of the order, scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2026, 20 automated and 33 manual E-Hybrid RTG cranes will be delivered. The equipment will serve at four different terminals operated by YILPORT:

10 automated E-Hybrid RTGs for the Liscont Terminal in Portugal,

10 automated E-Hybrid RTGs for Leixões Port,

18 E-Hybrid RTGs for the UPdP Acajutla Terminal in El Salvador,

15 E-Hybrid RTGs for the ATSL Takoradi Terminal in Ghana.

The delivery of the cranes is planned to be completed gradually within 16 to 22 months, depending on the project timeline at each terminal. The automated RTGs to be used at the terminals in Portugal will be equipped with Konecranes' Auto-Gantry technology, enabling automatic stacking and yard movement without operator intervention.

Robert Yüksel Yıldırım, Founder, Chairman of the Board, and CEO of YILPORT Holding, stated that the agreement reflects the company's long-term growth vision. He expressed their commitment to continue investing in efficient and sustainable port infrastructure. Yıldırım emphasized that Konecranes is a reliable business partner and that E-Hybrid technology will contribute to achieving zero carbon targets.

The new RTG fleet, equipped with battery-supported hybrid systems, is expected to reduce energy consumption and emissions while increasing operational efficiency. With this investment, YILPORT aims to accelerate its transformation in automation, digitalization, and environmental sustainability within its global terminal network.
