YASA Holding has joined the International Dry Cargo Shipowners Association, INTERCARGO, as a full member. INTERCARGO announced that YASA Shipping operates a dry cargo fleet consisting of 38 vessels with a carrying capacity of 2.95 million DWT, ranging from Newcastlemax to Handymax.
INTERCARGO officially announced the acceptance of YASA Holding as a full member through its social media account. The statement noted that YASA Shipping was established in 1999 and operates in the dry bulk transportation sector.
According to the latest information provided by INTERCARGO, YASA Shipping operates a total of 38 vessels covering the Newcastlemax, Capesize, Panamax, and Handymax classes. The total carrying capacity of the fleet reaches approximately 2.95 million DWT.
INTERCARGO is a voluntary industry organization representing dry cargo ship owners, managers, and operators worldwide. Full membership is open to owners, managers, or operators of dry cargo vessels of 10,000 DWT and above. Full members can participate in technical and executive committees and have voting rights at the general assembly.
YASA's membership may strengthen the representation of Turkish dry cargo shipowners in discussions on safety, environment, cargo security, and decarbonization conducted by the IMO and international industry organizations.
