    Yalova's shipbuilding sector excels with a 142% export rise, making it the top province in Turkey's booming maritime industry.

    Shipbuilding and export in Turkey are gaining significant momentum, led by Yalova. Yalova stands out with a remarkable 142% increase in exports, placing it at the forefront across Turkey.

    According to data from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the performance of the ship and yacht sector is dazzling. Turkey has achieved significant momentum in ship production and exports.

    Yalova, one of the centers of ship production, has also come to the forefront.

    In the first quarter, Yalova increased its exports in the ship, yacht, and services sector by 142%, ranking it among the provinces with the highest foreign sales in this field.

    According to the records of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, Turkey's ship and yacht sector exports during the January-March period reached 584 million 908 thousand dollars, marking a 78.6% increase compared to the same period last year, up from 327 million 555 thousand dollars.

    Yalova increased its exports in the ship, yacht, and services sector in the first quarter to 288 million 845 thousand dollars, up from 119 million 323 thousand dollars, reflecting a 142% increase compared to the same period last year.

    The city's share of the sector's total exports was recorded at 49.38%.

    Istanbul, the second province with the highest exports in the sector, saw its foreign sales rise from 158 million 826 thousand dollars in the January-March period last year to 212 million 636 thousand dollars this year, marking a 34% increase.

    Izmir ranked third with a 308% increase, reaching 42 million 982 thousand dollars, while Bursa came fourth with an increase of 16% and exports totaling 18 million 947 thousand dollars.

    During the January-March period, ship and yacht exports were made to over 100 countries from Turkey.

    The highest foreign sales during this period were made to Norway. Exports to this country in the first quarter increased by 56% compared to the same period last year, rising from 117 million 664 thousand dollars to 183 million 604 thousand dollars.

    Malta followed with a staggering 438% increase, with ship and yacht exports reaching 77 million 387 thousand dollars, up from 14 million 380 thousand dollars.

    The United Kingdom became the third country with the highest exports during the January-March period, with a 31.1% increase, totaling 67 million 991 thousand dollars.

    In the first quarter, a record increase in ship and yacht exports was observed to France. Exports to this country, which were 924 thousand dollars in the same period last year, were recorded at 67 million 953 thousand dollars, reflecting a staggering increase of 7,254%.

    Following France, the United Arab Emirates recorded a 39% increase with exports amounting to 34 million 142 thousand dollars.
