WISTA Turkey's New Management Made Its First Visit to the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping
The newly elected Board of Directors of WISTA Turkey paid a courtesy visit to the sector's umbrella organization, the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping.
WISTA Turkey's Board of Directors Chair Melike Aysu Gürgan and her accompanying delegation were received by the Chairman of the Board, Tamer Kıran, at the İMEAK DTO Headquarters on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
During the meeting, current developments in the sector and collaborations aimed at supporting women's employment were evaluated. The new period projects and goals of WISTA Turkey were conveyed. The visit, which took place in a warm atmosphere, emphasized that the existing strong synergy with İMEAK DTO regarding equal opportunities in the maritime sector and sustainable development would continue to grow.
Accompanying WISTA Turkey's Chair Melike Aysu Gürgan on the visit were Vice Chair Seden Öztorun Çarklar, Secretary General Karin Demirtaş, Treasurer Elif Kısabacak, and Board Members Ebru Paylan Şenkaya, Seren Horasanlı, and Ecem Sarı.
In the meeting, in addition to Chairman of the Board Tamer Kıran, Vice Chairman Adnan Naiboğlu and Board Member Ahmet Can Bozkurt were also present on behalf of İMEAK DTO.
