DEPUTY US Trade Representative Jeffrey Gerrish was to lead a team of trade negotiators to Beijing this week to hold talks with Chinese officials, two sources told Bloomberg. The delegation will also includes Treasury Under Secretary for International Affairs David Malpass, two sources told Bloomberg.
The meeting will be the first face-to-face meeting between the two countries since President Xi Jinping and President Donald Trump agreed to a 90-day trade truce during the G20 summit in Argentina last month.
