Two crew members died in explosion

Two crew members of the "Tamar" have been killed in the explosion Initially only one crew member was reported dead, but a couple of hours later, the captain of the ship reported to the USCG that another sailor was dead. Three other men were massively burned. The rescue operation was coordinated by the New York Air National Guard as well as the Canadian and Portuguese Coast Guard. The National Guard's 106th Rescue Wing launched an HC-130 aircraft with six parachute rescuers and a military surgeon on board to provide medical treatment to the injured crew members. The Canadian Coast Guard has redirected two naval ships with medical assistants on board.
