TURMEPA's Şadan Kaptanoğlu meets Turkish Ambassador in Athens, highlighting the need for international cooperation in marine environmental protection.
The Chairman of the Board of DenizTemiz Association/TURMEPA, Captain Şadan Kaptanoğlu, visited the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Athens, Çağatay Erciyes, as part of his meetings in Athens within the framework of Posidonia 2026, just as he does during every Posidonia period.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the seas are a common source of life for all countries, and the importance of international cooperation in the protection of the marine environment was highlighted.
In the visit, which also included TURMEPA General Manager Semiha Öztürk and the First Secretary of the Turkish Embassy in Athens, Şahika Deniz Hançer, discussions were held on potential joint efforts that could be developed between Turkey and Greece to address the impacts of climate change on the seas.
Through its activities within the scope of Posidonia 2026, TURMEPA continues to strengthen international collaborations for the protection of the seas, raising environmental awareness, and ensuring a sustainable future.
