The Turkish Pilots Association celebrated its 41st anniversary on October 23, 2026, with a decisive election victory for Ali Önemli's list.
The 41st Elective Ordinary General Assembly meeting of the Turkish Pilots Association was held on October 23, 2026, at the association's headquarters in Kadıköy.
In the General Assembly, where two separate lists were candidates, the list of Ali Önemli, the General Secretary of the 40th Term Board of Directors, won the election by a significant margin.
The meeting, which holds the distinction of being the highest attended General Assembly in the history of the association, was completed in a democratic environment and with tranquility.
In the first Board of Directors Meeting held, the distribution of duties was determined as follows:
* Ali Önemli - Chairman of the Board of Directors
* Atilla Dikbayır - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors
* Salih Çok - General Secretary
* Oktay Mahmut Keremoğlu - Assistant General Secretary
* Turgut Turan - Financial Secretary
* Mehmet Ali Çamlı - Assistant Financial Secretary
* Burak Ballar - Board Member
After the meeting, the Chairman of the 41st Term Board of Directors, Ali Önemli, stated the following: 'We are experiencing the pride and happiness of successfully completing the highest attended General Assembly in the history of our association, which has a deep-rooted history of approximately 60 years.'
'I sincerely thank all my esteemed brothers, colleagues, and siblings who took the time to attend our General Assembly, came from outside the city to be with us, and did not withhold their support.'
'I would like to express that I will carry out the duties of the Chairmanship of the Board of Directors, which I have undertaken with the favor of our newly elected Board, with the same sense of responsibility; with my knowledge, experience, and all my efforts.'
'I would also like to extend my endless thanks to all my friends with whom I fought together, worked hard, and walked shoulder to shoulder during the challenging and pressurized 40th Term. I want to particularly emphasize that the effort and solidarity we put forth together are very precious to me.'
'In the upcoming period, I hope to work together with your support to further strengthen our professional unity and solidarity, produce solutions to our common problems, and advance the institutional accumulation of our association.'
