Yalova - Turkey, September 2013 – Tersan Shipyard, a leading new building & repair shipyard located in Yalova Turkey announces that Giske Havfiske AS, a highly reputed fishing company from Alesund area of Norway, has taken the delivery of 74,7 m state-of-the-art stern freezer trawler.
F/T Atlantic Viking, equipped with fish process plant is the fourth of the five pcs trawler series that are under construction in Tersan Shipyard for different ship owners from Norway. The first three trawlers F/T Havbryn, F/T Havstrand and F/T Volstad were delivered to their owners, Strand Fiskelsrap, Strand Havfiske and Volstad AS in February, May and June this year respectively.

Tersan, having delivered 4 pcs of factory trawlers plus an advanced PSV to the different Norwegian shipowners within eight months, with such high quality is the best evidence to reflect its achievement so far. Built to fit for purpose, excellent trawling maneuverability, outfitted with hydraulic driven fishing winches on deck, equipped with selective catalyst reduction system on the exhaust line to achieve IMO Tier III, efficient and well organized fish process plant, Atlantic Viking is a significant stern factory trawler
She is also efficient for fuel saving with specifications of floating frequency philosophy and LED lightning.
