HONG KONG's TS Lines (TSL) is to end its intra-Asia JKH service which connects Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Haiphong and Taiwan less than six months since it launched with its last sailing offered from Tokyo on July 30.

HONG KONG's TS Lines (TSL) is to end its intra-Asia JKH service which connects Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Haiphong and Taiwan less than six months since it launched with its last sailing offered from Tokyo on July 30.
It will continue to offer the port coverage offered in the JKH service through alternative services. These ports offered over a three-weekly rotation were Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Busan, Ulsan, Keelung, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Haiphong, Fangcheng, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Taichung, Keelung, and Tokyo.
The three chartered 1,049-TEU vessels which serviced the JKH will be returned to their respective owners, reported Alphaliner.
The carrier will relaunch the Hong Kong-Haiphong (HPH) shuttle to be served by the 1,043-TEU Sara in order to maintain coverage of Haiphong following its suspension in December 2012.
Its JTK loop will be boosted by extra weekly capacity of the 1,679 TEU St Mary and the 1,560 TEU Leo Authority in order to compensate for the loss of capacity covered by soon to be closed JKH Japan-Taiwan-South China. This will replace the 1,134 TEU Asiatic Wave, which has been moved to service the Hong Kong-Philippines shuttle (CPX).
