On July 18, 2018, the 'Trias-Obelix', 1127 ts (EU-No.: 02326107), ran aground on the Waal off Nijmegen due to the low water level. Durng attempts to get off, the stern was caught by the current, and the ship drifted perpendicular to the fairway close to the railway bridge of the town. The captain dropped anchor and managed to regain control aroudn 8 p.m. A cabin cruiser had to stop to avoid a collision, and Rijkswaterstaat timewise established one-way traffic on scene.
