On Sep 4, 2018, around 8 p.m. the 'Arslanbey' ran aground at the Kanatadika coast in the north of Evia island. The tanker was en route from Amaliapolis to Istanbul. The ccrew of 14 was not injured in the grounding. The ship had not turned to portside as it should off the island but continued sailing straight ahead, until it got stuck in the sandy bay.
