    The 'Pantelena' was reported missing since late Aug 13, 2018, in the Gulf of Guinea, all contacts were lost

    The 'Pantelena' was reported missing since late Aug 13, 2018, in the Gulf of Guinea, all contacts were lost. The crew included 17 Georgiabs and two Russians. The tanker was en route from Lome to Libreville. The last known position dated 9 p.m. was 00 32 N 008 48 E, 40 miles west of Libreville. The tanker was being deployed in Gulf of Guinea trade, calling ports of coastal states such as Togo, Gabon, Nigeria, Liberia and Ghana. The owner and the crewing company feared a pirates hijack.
