The Dardanelles Strait Vessel Traffic Services Directorate announced via radio to vessel captains navigating from both the north and south that the strait is closed to dual-direction transit passage.
Additionally, GESTAŞ Maritime Transport AŞ, which operates ferry services between the Dardanelles and the islands, reported the suspension of ferry services on the Lapseki-Gelibolu, Çanakkale-Kilitbahir, and Çanakkale-Eceabat routes.
