A 17 year old teenager ended up in the sea after the collision of the 'Rygerfonn' with his pleasure boat on Aug 26, 2018, in the Bjørnafjord. The MRCC was alerted at 7.58 p.m. The only person aobard the wrecked pleasure boat was thrown over board but was immediately picked up by the crew of the speed ferry. He had suffered a minor injury at the foot. He was taken to Os and cared for by the health service there before taken to hospital in Haukeland by ambulance. Only debris was left of his boat. The passengers of the 'Rygerfonn', none of whom was injured in the incident, were transferred to another fast ferry which took them on to Rosendal. There was no suspicion on drug involvement on both sides. The police launched an investigation.
