SAL has partnered with Singapore Airlines to enhance air cargo services at Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport, boosting Saudi logistics.
SAL has signed a strategic agreement with Singapore Airlines (SIA) to provide ground handling and air cargo services at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, reports London's Air Cargo News.
The yearly renewable deal supports SAL's expansion of its integrated service portfolio across the air cargo ground handling industry. Chief Executive Omar bin Talal Hariri stated that partnering with Singapore Airlines demonstrates the quality and reliability of SAL's services.
Mr. Hariri added that the agreement will deliver world-class operational standards that support the growth of Saudi Arabia's aviation and logistics sector, reinforcing its position as a global hub in line with Vision 2030.
In March, SAL announced plans to acquire Aviapartner Liege SA, a specialized cargo handler at Belgium's Liege Airport, one of Europe's leading freight hubs. The deal involves buying all shares from Aviapartner Belgium NV and Aviapartner Holding NV.
Singapore Airlines last year switched cargo handlers at Schiphol Airport, moving to Swissport from dnata after dnata faced operational challenges during a facility move at the Dutch hub.
