After the arrival in the shipyard it turned out that all bolts of the intermediate propeller shaft of the 'Panamax Alexander' have been broken. The removal of the broken bolts from the main engine fly wheel was completed on Apr 10. On Apr 11 ans 12 the propellerwas removed as well and the intermediate - and propeller shafts to be transported to Rotterdam for machining and refitted after verifying of alignment and bearing condition. Without any further difficulties, the repair will take another two to three weeks. However, more damage was to be expected regarding the main engine or others that might have caused the damage. A firm date of completion thus was difficult to estimate in that respect. The repairs were being carried out afloat.
