After having been severely damaged by the 'Elsa Essberger', on Dec 31, 2017, off Den Helder, the unmanned gas platform 'Unocal Q1' will be scrapped on site. The operator Petrogas E &P Netherlands tasked the DEME daughter GeoSea with the work to dismantle the installation 20 miles off the coast. The just delivered liftship 'Apollo' (IMO: 9769764) will carry out the job. Two of the four legs of the 'Unical Q1' had been bent when the tanker slammed into it.
