On 15 Oct 10 at or about 0250 hrs, a Singapore-registered crude oil tanker, Eagle Corona was underway approximately 26 nm south of Pulau Karimata, Indonesia (2° 06.17' S, 108° 45.6' E) when the master heard knocking on his cabin door. The knocking became louder and somebody was trying to break into his cabin.
