A small fire broke out on deck six of the 'Viking Cinderella' in the night of July 31, 2018. A passenger had tried to light fire on a garment. It started to smoke, andfortunately it was discovered on time so staff aboard the ship could extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher,thereby inhaling some smoke. For safety reasons they were taken to a hospital in Mariehamn for a checkup. A total of three people were admitted to the hospital. During the night, the police was called to the West Port and now suspected the passenger for sabotage. The suspect has no address in Finland and was arrested for the crime which gives imprisonment from four months to four years.
