The 'Osiris' carrying the Golden Globe Race (GGR) skipper and Indian Naval officer, Commander Abhilash Tomy, reached Amsterdam isle on Sep 25 at 9.30 a.m. The GGR skipper wastransferred to hospital for medical evaluation. The survey was carried out for suitability of the jetty and the ship docked subsequently. Tomy was then transferred to the hospital there for further medical evaluation, X-Ray and treatment along with the 32-year-old Irish skipper Gregor McGuckin. The 'Osiris' will remain in the area till HMAS 'Ballarat of the Australian navy and INS 'Satpura' reach the island.
