THE NYK-operated pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) Hercules Leader has received a special award from the Association for Rescue at Sea (AFRAS) for rescuing six yachtsmen in distress off the coast of Bermuda on January 19, 2017
THE NYK-operated pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) Hercules Leader has received a special award from the Association for Rescue at Sea (AFRAS) for rescuing six yachtsmen in distress off the coast of Bermuda on January 19, 2017. AFRAS is a non-profit foundation with charitable status devoted to supporting services concerned with saving lives at sea.
The award ceremony and reception were held in Washington, DC and followed later with a visit by a representative of the ro/ro division of NYK Line (North America) Inc. to the vessel in Newark terminal where the award was presented to the captain and crew.
