Reviva Refit modernizes M/Y Mirabella, enhancing comfort and aesthetics, with completion expected by April 2026.
Mengi Yay's refit brand, Reviva Refit, has reached a significant milestone in the comprehensive transformation of M/Y Mirabella through Project R15. This ongoing refit work in Istanbul aims to modernize the yacht and enhance living comfort.
M/Y Mirabella arrived at the shipyard in mid-September 2025 and was taken into dry dock in the first week of October. The refit process commenced in October 2025 and is scheduled to continue until mid-April 2026, adhering to a tight timeline of approximately 6.5 months. The project's delivery date is set for April 15, 2026.
As part of the refit, the yacht's hull and superstructure are being completely renewed, with the AWLGRIP paint system applied by Marine Supply. This process, conducted under controlled environmental conditions, aims to ensure long-lasting surface quality and aesthetic integrity.
Rob Dolling of VERPEKA DOLLING Superyachts oversees technical management and representation on behalf of the project owner, closely coordinating with the shipyard and project teams. The refit works are progressing according to the specified technical scope and timeline.
In the yacht's interiors, comprehensive varnish renewal work is being undertaken to address surface degradation that has occurred over time. Furniture and wooden surfaces are being processed and re-varnished to veneer level, while upholstery is being renewed. Additionally, the electrical and electronic infrastructure, along with interior and exterior lighting systems, is being modernized to meet current needs.
Significant improvements are also being made in the outdoor living areas. The renovation of the jacuzzi, the design of new outdoor seating areas, and the integration of a transformer system into the swimming platform are planned to enhance the functionality of areas in contact with the sea.
Project R15, identified by the letter 'R' in the shipyard's refit coding system, is the 15th major refit project carried out since 2017. The transformation of M/Y Mirabella is among the projects that strengthen Istanbul's position in the superyacht refit market.
