The Turkish ship 'Boğaziçi' altered its AIS message to signal security during transit through the Strait of Hormuz amid regional tensions.

The Turkish-flagged commercial vessel 'Boğaziçi,' passing through the Strait of Hormuz, made an unusual change in its identification information broadcasted via the Automatic Identification System (AIS). According to the information obtained, the ship updated its message in the system to 'MÜSLÜMANLAR VSL TÜRKLER' (Muslim Turkish Ship).

This change occurred during a period of heightened military tension in the region, with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) being active. Assessments indicate that this move is a security measure taken by the ship's crew. It is stated that the message serves as a warning to Iranian forces in the region, indicating 'We are a Muslim Turkish ship, do not fire,' and aims to prevent any potential misunderstandings.

The Turkish ship named 'Boğaziçi,' passing through the Strait of Hormuz, changed its AIS signal to 'MÜSLÜMANLAR VSL TÜRKLER.' This move is reported to be a security message directed towards Iran.
