Mark Drusch, Qatar Airways' chief cargo officer, joins Freightos' board, bringing over 25 years of airline management experience.
Mark Drusch, the Chief Cargo Officer at Qatar Airways, has joined the board of Freightos, an online booking and rate firm.
Mr. Drusch announced his appointment recently on LinkedIn, stating, "I'm happy to share that I'm starting a new position as Member of the Board of Directors at Freightos!"
He took on his current role at Qatar Airways in January and brings over 25 years of senior airline management experience, according to London's Air Cargo News.
Mr. Drusch's aviation career began at Continental Airlines, where he spent 12 years as Vice President of International and Regulatory Affairs, also holding positions as Vice President for Strategic Planning and International Marketing.
Following that, he served as Senior Vice President of Network Management at Delta Air Lines for five years, overseeing an annual passenger revenue production of $16 billion through innovative planning and leadership.
His diverse career includes roles such as Global Senior Vice President of Pricing and Sales Management for Lufthansa LSG Sky Chefs, Chief Executive and Co-Founder of e-Rewards and e-Miles, Chief Supply Relations Officer at Fareportal, President of investment enterprise TBG, and Vice President at global consulting and technology services company ICF.
Additionally, Mr. Drusch has a strong background in finance, having started his career in the 1980s with a three-year stint in banking.
