Maersk's No Doc No Load policy for Norway starts June 15, requiring timely shipping instructions to avoid delays and additional costs.
AP Moller-Maersk has confirmed that its No Doc No Load policy will apply to all cargo originating from Norway starting June 15, as reported in a Maersk press release.
The company stated that this move was prompted by the untimely submission of shipping instructions, which has led to shipments being rolled at major hubs where customs regulations require import manifests to be filed 48 to 72 hours before vessel arrival.
Under the policy, shipping instructions must be received and entered into the system at least 24 hours before the vessel's arrival at the first load port. Cargo without the necessary documentation will not be loaded and will automatically be rolled to the next available vessel, with detention and demurrage costs charged.
Maersk indicated that automating the policy will ensure that required documentation is submitted on time, minimizing delays and safeguarding transshipment cargo connections. The company added that this measure is designed to keep supply chains moving with greater reliability.
Customers are advised to reach out to local representatives for assistance. Maersk stated that its teams remain available to support logistics needs and ensure the smooth implementation of the policy.
