    Cambodia-flagged ship anchored in the open waters of Zeytinburnu, drifted to  shore in the the strong SW storm that prevailed in Istanbul last night.

    Cambodia-flagged ship anchored in the open waters of Zeytinburnu, drifted to  shore in the the strong SW storm that prevailed in Istanbul last night. According to information obtained, the Cambodian-flagged "Tallas" ship anchored in close proximity of Zeytinburnu area near Zeyport commercial port facilities and piers dragged to the shore under the influence of strong SW winds. 

    The ship, where no staff was found, was grounded and stranded on the shore  in an area  known as a sand pier.

    The ship was  anchored near Zeytinburnu since 2015 and last year, she listed dangerously and was rescued by the Coastal Safety General Directorate.
