Liebherr-Aerospace has secured a long-term deal with Finnair to overhaul the nose landing gear of its Airbus A350 fleet, lasting until 2034.
Liebherr-Aerospace has signed a long-term agreement with Finnair to overhaul the nose landing gear systems of the airline's Airbus A350 fleet, reported Aeromorning of Midi-Pyrenese, France.
The maintenance campaign will begin this year and continue through 2034. All overhaul work will be carried out at Liebherr's Lindenberg facility in Germany, which serves as the company's center of competence for landing gear systems.
Alex Vlielander, Chief Customer Officer at Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS, stated that the deal reflects strong trust between the two companies and comes as the industry enters a new global landing gear overhaul cycle.
Liebherr-Aerospace developed, manufactured, and certified the A350 nose landing gear system. The company is part of Liebherr Group, a family-run technology firm with more than 150 companies worldwide.
The group employed over 55,000 staff in 2025 and reported revenues above EUR14 billion. Founded in 1949, Liebherr is one of the world's largest construction equipment manufacturers and also provides aerospace, rail, and commercial vehicle systems.
