An injured crew member of the 'Tjonger', docked in Teesport, had to be rescued by the Redcar Coastguard team on Sep 23, 2018, at 4 a.m. on Sunday after suffering a knee injury. The ship was berthed at the North Sea Supply Base at the time of the incident. A HART Team and North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) paramedics were also on scene. The patient was transported to James Cook University Hospital by land. A rapid response vehicle and an ambulance were sent to the scene to help the crew member.
