The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) announced its new board members following the annual general meeting (AGM) held in London on February 9. Mustafa Aslan and Ufuk Erinç from Turkey are included in the new management.

As one of the most significant organizations operating globally in the fields of fuel supply, quality standards, and sustainability in the maritime sector, the election results of the International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) were announced ahead of the traditional IBIA Annual Dinner.

In the election, where a total of 11 candidates competed, members voted for four board seats. As a result of the voting, Claudia Beumer (C4 Fuel B.V.), Gianmichele Campanella (Fratelli Cosulich Monaco SAM), Calvin Chung – CPN (Chimbusco Pan Nation), and Nigel Draffin (consultant and trainer) were elected to the board for a three-year term.

While the IBIA management thanked all members who participated in the election process, it emphasized that the interest shown by the candidates reflects the global diversity and dynamism of the association. It was noted that the elections took place during a critical period in the bunker sector, where regulations, sustainability, and technological transformation are accelerating. The new management is expected to make decisions that will shape the future of the sector in terms of energy transition, carbon reduction, and digitalization.

On the other hand, Mustafa Aslan, Chairman of the Board of Asmira Group, was given an additional role within the association.
