Huawei strengthens its foldable smartphone market share with the global launch of the Mate X7, featuring an all-day battery and innovative design.
Huawei Technologies has solidified its position in the foldable smartphone market with the global launch of the Mate X7, as reported by the South China Morning Post.
Initially released in China last month, the Mate X7 was unveiled globally at an event in Dubai. The device boasts a robust 5,600mAh battery equipped with an advanced heat-dissipation system, ensuring all-day battery life, according to the company.
This launch precedes the anticipated release of Apple's foldable iPhone and follows Samsung Electronics' announcement of its first trifold smartphone.
According to IDC, Huawei captured nearly 70 percent of China's foldable market in the first three quarters of this year. The research firm projects that Huawei's HarmonyOS foldables will increase their global market share to 17 percent by 2026, up from 11 percent in 2025.
