Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding has signed contracts to build 13 container vessels of 5,000 TEU and above for three domestic and international shipowners, reports China Daily.
The order includes three ships of 5,300 TEU, four of 6,200 TEU, and six of 6,400 TEU. At current market rates, the total value is estimated at about CNY7.3 billion (US$1.07 billion), according to Eworldship.
