    Düzce University will award honorary professorships to Binali Yıldırım and İsmet Yılmaz on May 5, 2026, recognizing their contributions to Turkey.

    Binali Yıldırım, who previously held the positions of Prime Minister, President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, and Minister of Transport, along with İsmet Yılmaz, who served as the Undersecretary of Maritime Affairs, Minister of National Defense, Minister of National Education, and President of the Grand National Assembly, will be awarded the title of honorary professor.

    The program, hosted by Nedim Sözbir, will take place on May 5, 2026, at 14:00 in the Cumhuriyet Conference Hall of Düzce University.

    According to the statement made by the university, the ceremony will be attended by Binali Yıldırım, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey and the 28th President of the Grand National Assembly, as well as İsmet Yılmaz, the 26th President of the Grand National Assembly. During the ceremony, both individuals will be presented with the title of honorary professor.

    Binali Yıldırım and İsmet Yılmaz are prominent figures in Turkey's recent public administration, particularly due to their significant roles in the economy, national defense, and social sectors, with a focus on transportation and maritime affairs.
