Hapag-Lloyd suspends new bookings to Manila, Batangas, and Subic Bay due to ongoing port congestion and limited container yard capacity.

Hapag-Lloyd has announced the suspension of all new bookings destined for Manila, Batangas, and Subic Bay, citing persistent port congestion across the Philippines and severely constrained container yard capacity and empty container restitution capabilities.

The suspension applies to all origins worldwide and across all trade lanes. It has taken formal effect immediately and is scheduled to remain in place through 31 December 2026. Should circumstances change, Hapag-Lloyd has indicated that further notice will be issued accordingly.

For bookings already confirmed, Hapag-Lloyd's customer service teams will proactively contact affected shippers to discuss.
