Four LNG vessels from Algeria, the US, and Angola are set to arrive in Turkey, delivering over 600,000 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas.

Turkey is set to receive LNG shipments from Algeria, the USA, and Angola. According to international ship tracking data, two vessels from Algeria and one each from the USA and Angola are en route to Turkey's LNG terminals, carrying over 600,000 cubic meters of LNG.

The Berge Arzew and Lalla Fatma Nsoumer LNG carriers departed from Algeria's Arzew Port on January 9. The Minerva Kalymnos left the USA's Venture Global Plaquemines LNG Terminal on December 22, while the Malanje LNG vessel set sail from Angola's Soyo LNG Terminal on December 28.

The Malanje, carrying approximately 160,000 cubic meters of LNG, is expected to arrive at the Marmara Ereğlisi LNG Terminal this evening. The Berge Arzew, with a capacity of 145,000 cubic meters, is scheduled to arrive on January 14. The Minerva Kalymnos, with a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters, is set to reach the Aliağa LNG Terminal tomorrow, and the Lalla Fatma Nsoumer, also with a capacity of 145,000 cubic meters, is expected on January 16.

While the Malanje and Minerva Kalymnos are navigating off the coast of Balıkesir, the Berge Arzew is in the Central Mediterranean, and the Lalla Fatma Nsoumer is in the Western Mediterranean. The arrival times for LNG vessels are approximately one week from Algeria, two weeks from Angola, and three weeks from the USA.

The liquefied gas arriving in Turkey is converted into pipeline form after necessary processing and sent into the system, ensuring that natural gas, which has traveled a long distance by ship, reaches households. The LNG carried by these vessels is estimated to yield over 350 million cubic meters of gas, sufficient to meet Turkey's gas needs for 2.5 days in summer and 1.5 days in winter.
