Foreship of Leonardo has sunk

The foreship of the "Leonardo", which was split into two in Kilyos on Aug 27, has finally sunk about one kilometer off the coast after taking on water for several hours. The sinking site was to be surveyed for oil contamination on Aug 28. There were no fuel leaks at the ship up to now. The rear part of the wreck was landed on the coast of Kilyos with the help of tugs and remained on the rocks. The fuel from the stern was to be discharged on Aug 28.
