A fire in the engine room of a vehicle carrier sailing in the North Sea off the coast of Germany caused panic. The fire broke out while the ship was en route from Germany to England.
According to initial assessments, the fire started in the engine room and quickly affected the ship's power systems. After the crew intervened, the fire was brought under control; however, it was reported that there was a power outage on the ship, and it lost its maneuverability.
Emergency Response Initiated
Following the incident, German maritime authorities were put on alert. Rescue helicopters and emergency response teams were dispatched to the area. For safety reasons, the ship was anchored, and the situation was brought under control after the fire was completely extinguished.
Authorities stated that all crew members on board were safe, and there were no casualties or injuries reported in the incident. Additionally, it was noted that there was no risk of marine pollution to the environment.
Towed to Port by Tugboats
It was reported that the vehicle carrier, unable to navigate under its own power after the fire, would be towed to the nearest port by tugboats. An investigation into the cause of the fire has been initiated.
