Ferry refloated and towed to Rubbestadneset
The "Fosen" was refloated by the service boats "Virgo" and "Orion" off the reef at Hatvik on Feb 25 at 9.50 p.m. and surveyed by divers once she was docked at the quay in Halvik. After the ship was moored around 10 p.m. the passengers which had been waiting in Os could retrieve their cars. The ferry was towed to Rubbestadneset port on Feb 26 by the "BB Lifter", arriving there on Feb 27 at 8.50 a.m. On Feb 26 the "Marstein" was inserted as a replacement ferry as the "Selbjørnfjord" was ready to return on the Haljem – Våge route after repairs. The first departure from Hatvik was at 12.20 p.m. How long the repair of the damage to the rudder and propeller of the "Fosen" may last was still unclear as new parts would have to be delivered first.
