    The 'Boramar' with 52 people on board caught fire on July 24, 2018. Salvamento Mar´timo mobilized the 'Salvamar Sargadelos', the helicopters Pesca I and Pesca II, the 'Irmáns Garcia Nodal' and the 'Roncadoir' along with medical helicopters of the Urxencias de Santiago and Ourenseto to assist the ship at the Illa da Toxa at O Grove (Pontevedra). They were joined by firefighters from Ribadumia and Vilagarcía de Arousa, the police of O Grove and supramunicipal emergencies from Sanxenxo as well as the Civil Protection of Cambados and O Grove. People were jumping into the sea to escape teh blaze. Several were rescued by other tourist boats that were in the area and also by individuals with boats. Emergency services were treating injured people with various burns and anxiety attacks. All passengers have been rescued and accounted for. Two who suffered serious burns were taken to the University Hospital of A Coruña and three more injured were treated in the health center in O Grove. Among the evacuees were eight children and four crew members. All were identified and there was no missing person despite a lot of confusion at the dock in the town. The ship drifted blazing in the northern area of ​​the island of A Toxa where the fire aboard the destroyed wreck could be extinguisehd by the fire rescue with foam.
