DHL Global Forwarding introduces a thrice-weekly freighter service between Bangkok and Cincinnati, enhancing Southeast Asia-US connectivity.
DHL Global Forwarding has launched a new three-times-weekly freighter service between Bangkok and Cincinnati to strengthen Southeast Asia-US connectivity, as reported in a company press release.
The service, part of DHL's 'TransPac Connect' solution, utilizes widebody freighters with a capacity of up to 100 tons per flight. It is supported by extensive road feeder links across the US to improve distribution.
This new route complements existing coverage from Hanoi and Taipei, connecting shipments to US gateways including Cincinnati and Chicago. DHL stated that the service provides secured capacity, cost predictability, and enhanced supply chain resilience.
Henk Venema, global head of air freight at DHL Global Forwarding, emphasized that Southeast Asia is gaining importance as a manufacturing and sourcing region. He added that the Bangkok-Cincinnati link offers speed, reliability, and control to help customers build more resilient supply chains.
The 'TransPac Connect' service is part of DHL's broader controlled capacity strategy, which includes dedicated rotations across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. The company noted that this expansion strengthens global trade lanes and enhances network stability.
