Krak-N empowers seafarers with a crowd-sourced platform for real-time maritime data sharing, enhancing safety and operational efficiency.

Krak-N, founded by four long-distance captains, brings a 'crowd-sourced' data revolution to the industry.

Founded by four Turkish entrepreneurs, Krak-N has launched as a 'crowd-sourced' data platform in the maritime sector, unlike anything else in the world.

The platform transforms seafarers from passive users into active contributors, introducing a completely new approach to the industry. Aiming to provide an alternative to the slow and outdated nature of traditional nautical publications, Krak-N creates a location-based, real-time, and dynamic data portal through a crowd-sourced information flow.

According to the founding partners of Krak-N, maritime knowledge is still confined to traditional publications and slow circulation. However, the sea is a dynamic and experience-focused environment. A seafarer who experiences the difference between what is planned and what happens is left with information that remains like writing on water, as they cannot share it through a targeted vertical network. Krak-N aims to change this.

With Krak-N, seafarers from all over the world will be able to share all kinds of information in real-time and based on location, from port conditions to weather conditions, operational experiences to safety alerts. Unlike cumbersome systems, these shares will accumulate instantly like a cloud. Every seafarer will be able to access this shared cloud and contribute easily.

The platform includes modules similar to dynamic map-based ship tracking systems that have been innovated by them for the first time, but it creates its main difference by being visible when actively working seafarers choose to use it. For example, a captain approaching a port they have never been to or have not visited in a long time will be able to see other captains present at that port in the application and can directly communicate to receive the current technical status of the port, tugboat suitability, emergency procedures, or socially relevant practical information.

Corporate accounts will also be available on the platform. HR departments of maritime companies will be able to directly reach out to seafarers who share their profiles for potential job opportunities. Active suppliers in the industry will also have the opportunity to connect with both seafarers and other companies by joining this network through corporate accounts.

The Era of Real-Time Data in Maritime

Thus, Krak-N becomes a powerful networking and operational support platform that goes beyond being merely a data-sharing tool, facilitating real-time experience transfer among seafarers and bringing together all stakeholders in the industry.

The platform can be downloaded as a mobile application from the App Store and Google Play; it is also accessible via a web version through browsers.
