Cuban President Diaz-Canel asserts the nation's sovereignty in response to Trump's remarks, emphasizing Cuba's readiness to defend itself.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel responded to U.S. President Donald Trump's statement, 'I strongly advise them to make a deal before it’s too late,' by saying, 'Cuba is a free, independent, and sovereign country. No one can dictate to us what to do. Cuba does not attack; it has been attacked by the U.S. for 66 years and does not threaten; it is ready to defend its homeland to the last drop of blood.'

U.S. President Donald Trump had made a statement on his social media platform Truth Social, saying, 'I strongly advise them to make a deal before it’s too late' regarding Cuba.

In response to Trump's statements, Cuba provided a reply.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel stated in a message on his social media account, 'Those who turn everything, even human life, into a commodity have no authority to blame Cuba in any way. Those who are now hysterically spewing anger against our nation are burning with rage over this people's sovereign decision to choose its political model.'

Diaz-Canel expressed that those who blame the revolution for the severe economic difficulties in the country should be ashamed of their silence, saying, 'Because they know and acknowledge that these difficulties are the result of the extremely repressive and ruthless measures that the U.S. has imposed on us for 60 years and now threatens to escalate further. Cuba is a free, independent, and sovereign country. No one can dictate to us what to do. Cuba does not attack; it has been attacked by the U.S. for 66 years and does not threaten. It is ready to defend its homeland to the last drop of blood.'

'Unlike the U.S., our government does not engage in military, blackmail, or military pressure activities against other states.'

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez also stated on his social media account, 'Cuba does not receive any material or monetary compensation in exchange for the security services it provides to any country and has not done so to date. Unlike the U.S., our government does not engage in mercenary, blackmail, or military pressure activities against other states.'
