Çeşme, İzmir, held a vital meeting to discuss safe and sustainable cruise tourism strategies and future goals, with rising passenger numbers expected.
A comprehensive evaluation meeting was held in Çeşme, İzmir, aimed at ensuring that cruise tourism is conducted in a safe and sustainable manner. The meeting addressed new strategies that will enhance efficiency in the sector and the goals for the upcoming period.
The meeting, held in the Ulusoy Port Meeting Hall, was attended by port operating officials, agency representatives, ship captains, and representatives from relevant institutions. Discussions focused on additional measures to be taken for the safe and orderly conduct of cruise tourism. The number of cruise passengers, which was approximately 25,000 in 2025, is expected to exceed 35,000 in 2026.
