CONCOR reports a 9.56% increase in container throughput, expanding its logistics network and partnerships for enhanced service delivery.

Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) handled 5.58 million TEU in 2025-26, up from 5.09 million TEU the previous year, marking a 9.56 per cent increase, reported Indian Logistics & Transport News. Total tonnage rose 5.57 per cent to 68.02 million tonnes.

The company stated that it strengthened its position in integrated logistics through multimodal expansion and new partnerships. It signed a memorandum of understanding for Bharat Container Shipping Line, proposed as India's first container shipping line, and extended its footprint into the UAE using its own containers.

Domestically, CONCOR expanded bulk cement transport in tank containers and entered port connectivity partnerships. Agreements included a container freight station near Vizhinjam Port and a common rail operator role at Vadhavan Port with JNPA.

The company increased its focus on end-to-end logistics with Indian Railways, introducing assured transit time trains and door-to-door parcel services. It also began developing Sonic as an integrated cargo logistics hub.

Infrastructure additions included four new terminals, raising the network to 68, plus 43 new high-speed rakes, taking the fleet to 422. The container fleet grew by 5,009 units to 57,746.

Digital initiatives included an in-house Bill of Lading system to improve documentation and cargo processing. Green logistics measures saw the deployment of 230 LNG trucks, five reach stackers, and two electric vehicles at terminals.

CONCOR was ranked 278th in the Fortune 500 list. The company stated that operational expansion, infrastructure growth, and partnerships underline its focus on scale, connectivity, and integrated cargo movement across domestic and international markets.
